Manchester Tremors

Journal — Tags: , — Joe @ 1:28 am

I just experienced an earthquake for the first time in my life, in Manchester, of all places.

It was a truly weird experience; I was sitting on a chair working on the computer.  I noticed a swaying motion and looked round expecting to see my girlfriend there. Unfortunately as I turned I saw she was sitting on the sofa staring back at me with an air of confusion.

I didn’t relish it, to be honest.

  2. Yes, it woke myself and my wife here in Sheffield.
I put the radio on and found out that it was an earthquake, which was quite a relief. I believe it was somewhere south of Hull measuring 4.7

  3. One of those crazy one off experiences I guess. Well for us living in the UK at least….!

Looking back, I do value it somewhat.
